The Boston Red Sox are set to play the Cleveland Guardians at Fenway Park on Thursday, with a chance to earn a series split.

However, they will be without third baseman Rafael Devers, who is not feeling well after serving as the designated hitter in the previous game.

Christopher Smith of MassLive reported that Devers will undergo an MRI on his knee as a precaution.

The Red Sox will have Brennan Bernardino as the opener for the final game of the series, and the lineup behind him will be as follows:

  1. Jarren Duran LF
  2. Triston Casas 1B
  3. Wilyer Abreu RF
  4. Enmanuel Valdez 2B
  5. Connor Wong DH
  6. David Hamilton SS
  7. Pablo Reyes 3B
  8. Reese McGuire C
  9. Ceddanne Rafaela CF

Bernardino has been performing well with a 1.69 ERA in his recent appearances, allowing only a few hits to the Guardians.

Cleveland will have Carlos Carrasco on the mound, with a 3.55 ERA in his three starts. Only a few Red Sox players have had success against him in the past.
