Jontay Porter has been banned for life from the NBA for sharing information with bettors, manipulating prop bets on himself, and betting on NBA games.

Porter, who was a backup center for the Raptors, disclosed his health information to a bettor before Toronto’s game on March 20, according to the NBA investigation. Another bettor who had inside information placed a large parlay bet based on Porter’s performance, potentially winning $1.1 million.

However, DraftKings did not honor the bet due to suspicious activities surrounding Porter’s player props. Porter only played three minutes in that game before exiting due to illness.

Porter is the younger brother of Nuggets’ starting forward Michael Porter Jr.

After being banned for violating sports betting rules, here’s what you need to know about the 24-year-old center.
